Luxury mobile phones have always had controversial designs, and this is also the case with Vertu’s latest masterpiece: the Vertu Boucheron 150.

Created to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Boucheron French jewelry house, the handset does look like a Vertu, but a crippled and weird one. And if it’s beautiful or not, it’s up for you to decide.

Amazon launches free app for iPhone and iPod touch

Amazon.com, one of the world’s largest online retailers, has just launched a free application for Apple’s iPhone and iPod touch.

The Amazon app is, of course, a mobile shopping application that comes just in time for the holiday season. 

By using your existing Amazon account, you can easily browse through the huge catalogue of Amazon products, including merchandise offered by retailers like Macy’s and Target. Features like Customer Reviews, 1-Click Shopping and Amazon Prime are also included.

Rumor: $99 iPhone coming to Wal-mart

Apple has worked real hard with carriers such as AT&T in the United States in order to bring down the price of the iPhone to the proud $199 that it is today. Why, without it, Apple’s famous line, “twice as fast, half the price,” wouldn’t even exist. No, sir.

But guess what? For a lot of people, $199 still isn’t low enough. But how about $99? Would you buy an iPhone if it was sold for $99, at Wal-mart? That’s the latest rumor being sold all over the Apple-sphere right now. That Wal-mart will sell the iPhone for only $99.

Sony Ericsson announces ultra-slim T700 handset

Super-slim handsets seem all the rage these days, now, Sony Ericsson has added another extremely slim handset to their portfolio – the T700, measuring up at dead-on 10 mm. Think of it as an updated, slim and enormously popular T610. It will start shipping in the next quarter, pricing is not yet known.

BenQ Siemens P51 PDA phone launched

BenQ Siemens recently announced the quad-band P51 smartphone. The new device runs Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC Phone Edition, and boasts a large 2.83″ touchscreen, as well as the full QWERTY keyboard. For connectivity there’s a Bluetooth and an integrated WLAN. Plus, there’s an integrated GPS receiver.

Now, the strange part. The BenQ Siemens P51 comes with a 1.3 MP camera? Why, oh why, haven’t they packed the higher-quality camera? Plus, for me to consider this device, I would want it to run Windows Mobile 6. I guess the latter is upgradeable, but the camera?
